Training for diction and interpretation

Communication Sciences students attended the course of diction and interpretation, a module of 20 sessions. The art of phrasing and interpretation is an advantage for specialists in every field, especially for those of journalism and communication. Actor Bledar Naska during these sessions explained the most important methods of diction and acting. Students, through constant practice in the training, were able to improve these methods, for a further advantage in practicing.

Albanian media executives, working visit to Turkish medias

Department of Communication Sciences at Hëna e Plotë (Bedër) University organized a working visit to several media institutions in Istanbul. The delegation first visited the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Istanbul, where they were welcomed by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Nilüfer Sezer who acquainted Albanian delegation with the functioning of the institution that she manages and the preparation of young journalists to Turkish media market. Later on, Albanian delegation continued its tour into the largest Turkish newspaper, Zaman, where they were welcomed by the director Bulent Keneş who gave an overview of the current situation and also that of the Turkish media. While the next stop was CnnTurk television, an institution born thanks to the cooperation between media giant CNN and Turkish media group ''Dogan Media Group". Information director of CNN Turk Ferhat Boratav expressed satisfaction over the visit of the Albanian delegation. He explained the history of the media group to which it belongs and also that of CNN Turk television. In the delegation participated the main leaders of the Albanian media, including the news editors of Top Channel, TV Klan, Vizion +, respectively Pandi Gjata, Fatos Hakorja and Roland Zili, chairman of the Union of journalists and distinguished analyst Aleksander Cipa, director of information on news 24 TV Enton Abilekaj, chiefeditor of ''Dita'' journal Adrian Thano, Director of Club fm and Club TV Arben Bylykbashi, the deputy head of news and show "Watching" in Agon Channel Menada Zaimi, the known journalist and analyst Anila Basha as a members of academic staff in the department of communication.

Dr. Bayram Karci participated at the Mevlana Exchange Program

Head of Communications department Dr. Bayram Karci participated at the Mevlana Exchange Program. Mevlana Exchange Program is a mobility program initiated by Turkish Higher Education Council, which provides academic staff an opportunity to visit Turkish universities for teaching and research purposes. In that regard, Dr. Karci visited Süleyman Demirel University in Isparta - Turkey between 20th and 30th December 2013. In his visit to Süleyman Demirel University Dr. Karci visited the Dean of Faculty of Divinity Prof. Dr. Talip Türcan, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Divinity Assist. Prof. Dr. Hülya Altunya and other academic staff members of the university and he had a chance to exchange ideas and experience on higher education. Dr. Karci also lectured in several graduate courses and gave a seminar on “Aristotle and Ethics” which was participated by students as well as academic staff of the university.

Redi Gjuzi: Newspaper, the most important mean of mass communication

The viceeditor of Panorama newspaper Mr.Redi Gjuzi valued the newspaper as one of the most important means of mass communication. Invited in a conversation with the students of the department of Communication Sciences, Mr.Gjuzi said that despite the problems that the printed press is facing, it constitutes a reliable element and important source of information. According to mr.Gjuzi, newspapers are those which provide more detailed information on what happens in reality, different from the one provided on Radio or Television.

Director of "Land Mark" meets communication students

Director of Advertising Agency Management "Land Communications" Odeta Male held a seminar entitled "Advertising Agencies, how they function", where present were the third year students of the Department of Communication Sciences. During the seminar, which is part of the subject "Media Marketing" Male explained to the students how the advertising market operates in Albania, the process of launching a promotional advertisement, which starts from conception, definition of target, access to product until the production. Students on their part showed interested to know more about how a publicity campaign is conceived.

Aleksandr Çipa: Market requires well-established journalists

Aleksander Çipa, head of the Union of Journalists was the next invited guest in the open lecture cycle "Student and Profession". In a meeting held in the form of conversation, Çipa shared with the students different experiences of albanian journalists and their dailys. Students on their part expressed interest about labor market requirements as well as the needs it has for young journalists. During the meeting, it was emphasized the need that market has for journalists who are well established , well-prepared and aware of their mission. All these enable graduate students to integrate faster into the profession.

Staff members participate in the international conference, UDEK

Staff members of the Department of Communication Sciences participated in the Third International Conference of Language and Literature (UDEK) developed by the Faculty of Educational Sciences of Beder University, with the theme: "Turkish language in Europe". Prof Rahim Ombashi, presented a speech titled: "Directions of first albanian divan from Nezim Berati from universal towards famtastic and from national to the real." While other members of staff, Mr. Emirjon Senja and Mr.Rudi Dunga presented a joint paper on the topic: "Turkish cinema products on Albanian television." The conference took place during the dates November 14 to 16.
