Head of Department, Dr. Erlis Cela emphasized the importance of meeting, in receiving feedback after the practice, to review if necessary the way it works. He speak about the importance of professional practice for studying studies in applying the theories taken in lectures and as the first step in building a career. During the meeting, the students expressed their impressions and recounted the experiences they had during the internship. They told about their work processes, difficulties and their solution in the newsroom, in public relations offices and marketing agencies. They indicated that upon graduation, some of them even managed to work part-time near the places where they conducted internships. Some of the students evaluated the internship carried during the year on the objective.al, an website for students, managed by the Department of Communication Sciences. The students expressed their desire to be part of the professional practice again during different periods of the year. Some of the lecturers of the Department emphasized the importance of professional practices to contacts with the market. 16OCT Orientation Days, Department of Communication Sciences The first year bachelor students of the Department of Communication Sciences visitet the National Library. This visit, in collaboration with the Department and the Directorate of Student Relations, took place in the framework of Orientation Days. During the visit, the students were introduced to the National Library membership procedures. They then learned about how to search in the library, how to search in the system online, and how to search for physical files. They were also introduced to the library's history, content, conditions and standards. Afterwards, the students introduced to the Tirana Historical Center, Theater Complex, Art Gallery and some other public spaces. 30SEP The Department of Communication Sciences developed the syllabus update workshop The Department of Communication Sciences, like every new academic year, organized a workshop on "Updating syllabus". During the workshop the subjects of the previous academic year were discussed, the need to review the assessment items, and the efficiency of the methods used last year. Head of Department, Dr. Erlis Çela emphasized the importance of updating syllabuses for the respective subjects, while respecting the deadlines. He also emphasized the importance of presenting syllabuses and assessment items to students at the beginning of the academic year. During the workshop similar topics were discussed in similar subjects in order to avoid collision and make these topics understandable to students. Another important issue that was discussed was the compulsory and supporting literature on the respective subjects. The lecturers emphasized the importance of updating the literature with new Albanian language publications in the field of communication and journalism in order to keep students within the dynamics of today's communication and technology. The Worshkop closed with suggestions from lecturers on how syllabus changes in their subjects each academic year. In the end they exchanged experiences and methods that have proved very effective over the years. 23MAY An open lecture on intellectual property Mrs. Galinija Gjoni, Intellectual Property Expert, was invited to lecture on the Brand Management subject, with Master of Science in Communication Sciences: Profiles Public Relations and Journalism. She lectured on intellectual property and copyrights. She explained the importance of brand registration, idea and creativity for further business continuity and the likelihood of imitation. Further, Mrs. Gjoni explained the procedures for registration, bringing some concrete examples. Mrs. Gjoni emphasized that the field of intellectual property is too late in our country and has not yet become a culture. Finally, students had the opportunity to discuss more about copyright by entering in more detail. 16MAY Fifth Student Conference in Communication Sciences Department of Communication Sciences at "Bedër" University College, held the Fifth Student Summit in Communication Sciences. The opening was made by the Chairman of the Confederation, Head of the Department of Communication Sciences at Bedër University College Dr. Erlis Çela, who greeted and congratulated the participants for the seriousness and agility shown. He further explained what researchers think about new trends in journalism and communication in general as well as the importance of scientific research in this area. While in his greeting speech, Dean of the Faculty of Human Sciences at KUB, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Rahim Ombashi, emphasized the importance of having a profession in human life. Among other things, he described the profession as a key element in our lives. After him, the lecturers of the Department Dr. Edlira Mali and Dr. Ardita Reçi. Subsequently, in four parallel sessions were referred 33 students from four universities: University College "Bedër", University of Tirana, University "Aleksandër Moisiu" Durrës and Vlora University. They referred to different topics from Journalism, Organizational Communication, New Media, Marriage and Public Relations. At the conclusion of the Conference, the referrals were provided with participation certificates. At the end the commission evaluated as the best works the topics: Elion Kollçkaut, "Electoral Campaigns and MPs, Kosovo Case", a master student at the University of Tirana. "Chatbot - New Digital Communication Trend with the Audience: The Perspective of Using From Albanian Businesses" by Kristi Mukollari, a third year student of Communication Sciences at Bedër University College. 18APR Campaign Starts "Donate a Book, do not mold" Campaign Starts "Donate a Book, do not mold" The Book Club at "Bedër" University College, has undertaken for some days the initiative for collecting 500 artistic books, for the purpose of building a library at Elez Isuf Ndreu High School, Kamza. Russian Nobel laureate Josif Bodskij says: "There are more sins than burning books, one of them is not to read them. So under the motto "Donate a book, not mold", we invite you to join us in achieving and overcoming the objective until May 20, 2019! The Debate Club at "Bedër" University College held yesterday the first phase debate of the second phase. The topic of this talk was: "The media has contributed to lowering the level of public debate", where pro was the first year group of communication sciences composed of Esmeralda Pashollari, Eldo Nexha and Afrim Pisha, while in approach against students from the second year in Communication Sciences: Melsena Danglli, Lirije Myftarago and Lushe Përgjegji. After the arguments and counter-arguments presented by the respective groups and the points collected from the jury's assessment, the groups came out with equal points. So it was decided to develop a second confrontation between the two groups. 03APR "Student and profession", invited journalist Klodiana Lala In the framework of the "Student and profession" seminars, organized by the Department of Communication Sciences, was invited the renowned journalist Klodiana Lala. She discussed with the students about the difficulties of reporting the sensational issues in the black chronicle. Mrs. Lala shared with students some of the most significant 20-year career in journalism and professional secrets that served her as a key to understanding the truths. The students addressed the journalist Klodiana Lala with questions about the difficulties of the profession, expressing the curiosity that aroused her as a character, but also the journalism sector she covers in the media.
