The training was organized as a collaboration of the Department of Communication Sciences with Infinite + Association. Trainers were Dr. Çipuri Ramadan, head of the department of Communication Sciences, Ms. Karolina Risto, director of information on INTV, and Erida Gjermeni, editor of INTV. Bringing the experiences and challenges of journalists in the newsroom, Ms.Risto Ms.Gjermeni stressed about the dilemmas of journalist that report on social issues are almost daily, as they are put in front of various pressures,such as public interest, anonymity, copyright , children in need, persons with disabilities, etc.. On the other hand, Dr.Çipuri analyzed the reasons for the journalists in ethical dilemmas, as well as in the management model upon which the Albanian media is functioning. According to him, this is a management model that promotes ethical problems the big problems in the Albanian media. Of interest was the application of practical reporting about this issues by the students themself. 30NOV Meeting between generations in the Professional journalists graduated from the Department of Communication Sciences at Beder University met with students who continue their studies in this field. The meeting was held within the cycle "Student and Profession", a practice followed for years within the Department of Communication Sciences. Guests were graduates of Beder, Osman Stafa, journalist and editor of the show "Oktapodi" in Vizion Plus TV; Amela Shehu, journalist in the "Bypass Show" in Vizion Plus TV; Sonila Qazim, journalist and editor of local news in Vizion Plus TV; and Xhevahir Qardaku, reporter in ABC News TV. Panelists shared with communication sciences students their experiences of several years, starting when they were students, up to the challenges facing in the labor market. Of interest were the questions of the students who were interested in the possibilities of professional internships, those related to employment and the challenges facing traditional media nowadays etc.. 16NOV MarCOM seminars: CEO of Connext with students of communication In the framework of MarCom seminars, students of the Department of Communication at Beder Universty held a very interesting and successful conversation with Mr. Klodian Makashi, co-founder and CEO of Connext – agency of Marketing and Communications in Albania. Since the beginning of the conversation, Mr. Makashi emphasized that today, the Albanian reality is enriched with successful cases of doing marketing, which should be recognized and treated by the universities and students during their teaching hours. The conversation was directed to the use of new and attractive ways by marketers to attract and engage the audiences and consumers, and it was focused on specific experiences of the agency Connext, which have proved to be very successful. In this context, Mr. Makashi explained that Innovation/creativity and Professionalism/accountability are the success factors in today's world of media marketing. Questions from the students gave to the speaker the opportunity to inform them on future projects of the agency and discuss with the students particular elements aiming not only the communication with the customer, but also the satisfaction of the direct clients of the agency, businesses or various institutions. At the end of the seminar, they discussed concrete opportunities to engage students in current and future projects at Connext agency in the form of professional practice, which is considered very important and productive for the students. 17APR Rafaela Rica: 'Insistence, the key of success' The cycle of ‘’MarCom’’ seminars has started again. Rafaela Rica, founder and also administrator of "Iceberg Communication" advertising agency referred the topic: "From idea to tradition''. After making a brief summary about the establishment of "Iceberg Communication" agency, Rafaela shared with attendees the challenges, future vision of the agency, as well as some of the most important events conducted so far. Rafaela stressed that insistence and innovation are the basis for the continuation and success of the work. It is great to have a specific area where you feel confident rather than to remain within average. At the end of the lecture she answered the questions from students by enabling a practical explanation of the topic. 26MAR Researchers from 11 countries and 21 different universities, gathered at ICCMS 2015 Researchers from 11 countries and 21 different universities, gathered at the international conference on communication and media studies, discussed about developments and challenges that media industry faces. Academics and professionals of media field, coming from France, Ireland, Turkey, Belgium, Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia, referred their scientific papers aiming to provide answers to dilemmas and problems that technological changes have brought to media industry. Topics of the conference included sharing information on scientific research, development, media industry applications, social media, marketing, political communication, etc. New reports of media ownership have also brought new relations between owners of media product, its quality, advertisers, politicians and other stakeholders. In his opening speech, rector of ’Hëna e Plotë’’ Beder University, Dr. Ferdinand Gjana, after welcoming the referees and participants, raised the importance of treating such topics in terms of digitalization and new media trends. Prof. Artan Fuga, head of Journalism and Communication Department at Tirana University, focused on the dynamics of recent years, where traditional media is being challenged by new communication tools. New digital media is creating dilemmas and questions, about the effectiveness, credibility and audience. He mentioned the importance of organizing the conference in partnership with several institutions, wishing that referees, through their works, will answer questions about recent developments in the media industry. Deputy Ambassador of France to Albania, Didier Guilbert expressed his honors for participating in this important international conference, considering new communication platforms conditions. He noted the close cooperation between ’Hëna e Plotë’’ Beder University and French Embassy in various activities within the terms of Francophonie. Prof. Dr. Briseida Mema, as the chairwoman of the conference, focused on the relevance and importance of discussing topics related to media industry. She stressed that technology progresses rapidly and in this regard researchers, journalists and media people have to walk on the same rhythm so to not be left behind technological developments. Ms. Mema expressed her gratitude for the support that French Embassy has consistently provided in these activities within the framework of Francophonie. Mr. Alfred Peza, deputy chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Education and Public Information Means, thanked ’Hëna e Plotë’’ Beder University for organizing this conference, noting that such activities serve not only to media professionals, but also to public and policymakers. Mr. Peza focused on the process of transition to digital broadcasting as an international obligation. Prof. Eric Scherer from France, director of "Future Media" on French television was invited as the keynote speaker of the conference. Professor Scherer presented 10 challenges of the digital revolution, as well as changes that media industry should adapt. Professor Scherer, author of ''Do we still need journalists'' essay, stressed that social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc, are spreading so fast, while traditional media is trying to integrate these new forms of communication. He also said that media entrepreneurship is difficult and digitalization brings the need for experts in this field. "Space and the opportunities that internet offers have changed and significantly affected journalism. Beyond the problems encountered in reporting, it has even more advantages", said among others. "Life in virtual conditions has also affected on people connections with each other. A social problems appears to the connections between individuals", added Mr.Sherifi. Mr.Lesi, currently media and communication consultant of the Democratic Party President, Basha esteemed journalist profession as among the most beautiful ones for those who are devoted. According to him, one of the most important point that helps journalists to their career is objectivity and commitment to the profession. Another topic where Mr.Lesi focused was advising political leaders. According to him, advisers are the "eyes and ears" of the politician. At the end of the lecture, Mr.Lesi answered student’s questions.
